Due to the tragic fate of Malaysian Airlines flight MH17 that was shot down in a conflict area over Eastern-Ukraine several airlines have started avoiding flights to-from Tel Aviv in Israel trying to avoid possibly similar mistake. This also means that cargo shipments to-from Israel will be affected at least for a period when the conflight in Gaza is raging and possibly further due to rapidly increasing backlog.
So far the biggest disruption of flights to Tel Aviv is coming from U.S. as Federal Aviation Administration suspended flights as of 22nd of July after a missile fell only a mile away from Tel Aviv airport. But also some of European airlines have separetely taken the same steps. One of them being Air Baltic that cancelled their morning flight from Riga airport on 23rd of July.
